Vitamin C is an unstable water-soluble vitamin which is present in the physiologies of almost all plants and animals. Humans and other primates cannot produce their own bodily supply of vitamin C and consequently require an intake via the diet.
Bio-C-Vitamin has a great deal of functions in the body, many of which are still not totally understood. Vitamin C carries out most of its functions as an antioxidant which means it is an effective neutraliser of free radicals, destructive, highly reactive molecules, that are thought to be the basis of many diseases.
Vitamin C has been used to treat a variety of disorders. Its primary use is in helping to fight infections and maintain general well-being. Many other preparations lose effectiveness when passing through the stomach. Bio-C-Vitamin is also in a buffered non-acidic form.
